TRAINING OF PROTECTED AREA STAFFTowards a pan-European Vocational Training StandardTOPAS is a project developing standards for vocational qualifications for staff in European protected areas. It is supported by the EU Programme Leonardo da Vinci. The project will be run in 2001-2003. Further continuation of the activity is assumed after this period. The project comprises 20 partners with relevant expertise and experience, from 9 European countries. Together they will develop courses for protected area staff with a standardised curriculum. Other interested public bodies can be involved during the development process and could carry out such training in the future with the help of TOPAS documents. |
